This guide walks you through setting up your first project with edge server-side rendering. Deploying close to your users minimizes Time-to-First-Byte (TTFB) and optimizes memory usage.

Step 1: Prerequisites

  • Node.js 22 or higher installed locally.
  • A Cloudflare account with Workers enabled.
  • Access to Cloudflare D1 for distributed SQL queries.

Step 2: Initialization

Run the CLI initialization command in your target directory:

npm create my-help-center@latest
cd my-help-center
npm install

Step 3: Verification

Confirm that your edge worker routes incoming requests accurately. Inspect the headers for cf-ray and response cache status.
